All documents, images, and text are encrypted locally on your device with AES-256-GCM encryption before storage or sync. Only you hold your private key or recovery phrase.
What if I lose my 12-word recovery phrase?
Because Arkiv is zero-knowledge, no one can recover your encryption key. Please keep your recovery phrase backed up safely.
How do I scan documents?
Tap the camera icon inside the app. Point your camera at a paper document—the app will automatically detect corners, straighten the view, and perform OCR text extraction.
